Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Bahrain, as Iran launched missile attacks across the region in retaliation for a significant and continuing offensive against it by the US and Israel.

Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an zone close to the command center of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The scope of any damage is not yet known and the US has yet to issue a statement.

Missile Defenses Activated

In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - each hosting US military bases - reported they have shot down missiles in their airspace.

In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said it had successfully engaged several missiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the region.

IRGC Statement

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the attack on Iran launched by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.

That preceding assault - initiated at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck locations linked to the the regime, with President Trump calling on the Iranian people to rise up against the regime.

Additional Developments

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israeli military stated it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The Ministry of Defence of the UAE announced that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses engaged the projectiles with notable success and shot down a several projectiles," it added.

The statement noted debris landed in a populated district in the capital, resulting in some property damage and the death of one civilian.

The United States Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
