Defense authorities is working to revoke the Duke's final honorary title in accordance with the wishes of King Charles, the defense minister has declared.

The defense secretary said the Monarch had "made clear this is his preference".

Andrew, who was stripped of his royal prince status on this past week, kept his Vice Admiral position in the Royal Navy after relinquishing his additional military roles in the previous year.

"This is a move that's right, the Monarch has signaled we should proceed with this and we are currently addressing this matter," the official stated to a Sunday news program.
