On Friday midday, the thermometer climbed to 91°F (33°C) in the city center, per data from weather officials. This exceeds the previous daily record for this date, which was 31 degrees Celsius (88 Fahrenheit) and was established in 2025.
"Exceptionally warm weather" were highlighted on NWS charts for the region.

The weather service stated that Friday's conditions posed an "higher threat for heat illness" for people sensitive to heat. Their recommendations suggested:

- Limiting outdoor activities during the afternoon hours of the day.
- Never leaving anyone unattended in a hot car.
