Our Task Consists of Only Killing' - How Sudan's Brutal Paramilitary Group Carried out a Atrocity

Caution: This Report Includes Explicit Accounts of Shootings.

Combatants smirk as they travel on the rear of a utility vehicle, racing by a row of several lifeless forms and driving in the direction of the descending Sudanese sunset.

"See such work. Observe this instance of mass destruction," one shouts.

He smiles as he points the video equipment on his own face and his associate combatants, their Rapid Support Forces badges clearly shown: "These people are all going to perish this way."

The combatants are rejoicing over a atrocity that aid workers suspect resulted in the deaths of more than thousands of civilians in the African city of el-Fasher during October.

A City Isolated from the World

Following their control of the community under blockade for nearly two years, from the summer the paramilitary force moved to strengthen its dominance and restrict the surviving civilian population.

Orbital photography show that forces commenced to build a massive sand wall - a raised sand barrier - surrounding the perimeter of el-Fasher, blocking roads and preventing relief supplies.

During the encirclement intensified, 78 people were murdered in an RSF assault on a mosque on September 19th, while the international organization said dozens more were murdered in drone and artillery strikes on a makeshift community in fall.

Explicit Footage Reveals Unarmed People Gunned Down

In the early morning on October 26th the RSF overwhelmed the last army strongholds and captured the main compound in the community, the command center of the Army Division, as the army retreated.

Among the most disturbing recordings to surface and examined showed the aftermath of a massacre at a educational facility on the western of the city, where scores dead bodies were visible scattered over the floor.

A senior person dressed in a white tunic sat alone amongst the corpses. He rotated to gaze as a fighter carrying with a rifle proceeded along the staircase towards him. Raising his weapon, the gunman discharged a solitary bullet at the man, who fell to the floor still.

"How come is this person yet living," another fighter exclaimed. "Shoot this person."

Space-based imagery recorded on October 26th seemed to confirm that shootings were furthermore conducted on the roads of el-Fasher, as reported by a report issued by the Yale Humanitarian Research Lab.

An witness who communicated stated they had witnessed "many of our relatives being massacred - the victims were gathered in a single location and all murdered."

Paramilitary Officers Try to Conduct Reputation Management

Following the events that came after the massacre, RSF chief acknowledged that his fighters had carried out "violations" and stated the incidents would be investigated.

Included among detained was after a report documenting his murders. Meticulously orchestrated and produced video shared on the paramilitary's authorized social media channel depict the commander being taken into a cell at a jail on the perimeter of el-Fasher.

At the same time, the RSF and affiliated social media accounts began trying to reshape the narrative.

Updates depicting its militiamen distributing supplies to residents were circulated by several accounts, while the militia's media office shared several clips allegedly to demonstrate the humane management of military captives.

Regardless of the online campaign being deployed by the paramilitary, their actions in al-Fashir have generated global condemnation.
