The goalkeeper Was rarely tested required in the first half but then tested by an opponent's curled attempt. A sliding tackle against an Albanian attacker showed excellent reading of the game. 6/10

John Stones Moved up the pitch when in possession, as he has done in the past. Sometimes was too casual when carrying play and the tactic discontinued by the interval. 6

The tall defender A nuisance at set pieces, as always, perhaps is a replacement to Stones at the back as opposed to paired with him. One wayward ball in the second half came close to an opener from Albania. Six

Nico O’Reilly One more confident performance by the youngster after his debut versus another side. Saka was unable to take the most of an exquisite backheel over the opposing backline. The left-back spot is firmly his at this stage. 7

Adam Wharton His maiden beginning in an England shirt. A bit loose when playing out but his inswinging corners caused problems. A useful game manager available to the manager to have against defensive opponents. Cautioned for a rash tackle. 6/10

Declan Rice Crosses on corner kicks and free-kicks caused problems. Enjoyed freedom to move on the left yet found himself in an offside position when the ball arrived in front of goal. Granted a merited break on the hour mark. 6/10

Jude Bellingham Operated in a high spot out wide and also contributed with dirty work. Showed moments of class but scuffed an effort wide. Substituted towards the end for Rogers, his rival, following a yellow card. Seven

The winger Was presented with England’s best chance before halftime, his effort excellently kept out by Thomas Strakosha. With Quansah holding position, he was forced to offer an outlet out wide although his balls from the touchline were inconsistent. Replaced with 15 to go. Six

Harry Kane The difference-maker netting 77th and 78th goals at international level. His first a typical opportunist's goal and the second a superb header following a clever run away from the opposition. Now 32, he continues to improve and England are strong contenders next summer with him up top. Eight

Eberechi Eze Had difficulty to make an impact out wide. Was presented with a presentable chance when set up by the midfielder but the keeper kept it out. His replacement produced a bigger an impact when substituted. Five
