Between the Sticks
Guglielmo Vicario (Spurs): Despite ending up on the losing side against the Blues, his colleagues let him down. He faced 18 attempts, nine directed at goal, with an expected goals of over three for the opposition yet he kept them in it. He didn't quit for his side.
Backline
Nico O'Reilly (City): This youngster is frightening. Naturally a midfield engine, he slots in brilliantly at left-back. His display in the win against Bournemouth was impressive, establishing him as a future star.
Gabriel (Arsenal): A persistent threat, he helped secure a further shutout for his club. He remains a nuisance from set-pieces, just being there made the difference in the win at Burnley. Opponents clearly fear him.
Jean-Clair Todibo (West Ham): Selected for two reasons: his team's victory and his measured, confident showing. Although the Magpies underperformed, he stood out in possession and calmed things down. After a few uncertain weeks, he seems to have improved under boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham): He ignited the team in the victory over Wolves. Excellent in attack and consistent throughout the term, he's found the net to his game. Fantastic to see him healthy and playing.
Engine Room
Moises Caicedo (the Blues): The sole engine no one can dispute. Crucial for Chelsea, he stood as the top tackler. An energizer, he pushes the team ahead. Perhaps the finest defensive mid in the game.
Declan Rice (the Gunners): Another key display versus Burnley. A dominant force, he scored and shines from set-pieces. When they face weaker opponents, he recovers stamina and executes more attacking runs. Important to see him let loose.
Ryan Gravenberch (the Reds): He advanced, getting a goal versus a poor Villa team. His skill to control the game on and off the ball, plus his vision and tackling, rendered him essential to the win.
Attack
Diego Gomez (Brighton): He scored a brace versus United, but he was elegant dribbling by defenders. Moving with pace and power, he edged out fellow attacker Danny Welbeck for this spot.
Erling Haaland (Manchester City): What else is there to say about the machine? Each occasion he broke through, you expected a score. He never looked to be off target. The King is back. Despite off-season chatter about other strikers, the Norwegian dominates. He could shatter goal tallies this year.
Rayan Cherki (City): Playing high on the right is his ideal role. Incredibly ambidextrous, a rarity since Santi Cazorla. He can take set-pieces equally well. A skilled player, he appears sharp post-recovery. His link-up with Haaland is clearly why he was signed.
Manager
Nuno Espirito Santo (the Hammers): Haven't seen it, check out the way he celebrated their third against the Magpies. That shows how much it matters to him and the squad. He knows West Ham are under pressure, yet they need to get through and cross the line.
